They really took their time fleshing out Higuruma and his motives. I really appreciate the detail that went into his character. He tried to do the right thing for so long but missed the part where he also needed to do the right thing for himself. The juxtaposition of everything/everyone around him being cheerful and colorful while he is laser focused and dull, is striking. The little girl on the swing enjoying herself symbolizing the childlike joy he denies himself, while also portraying a sort of pendulum for the wavering his psyche... chef's kiss. "But, what about your mental state Higuruma?"

Not a bad episode of Ace Attorney but wtf is all of this supernatural stuff doing in my show about lawyers ? it felt so out of place, like one moment we have a serious talk about the law, about the public perception and then all of this random supernatural stuff shows out of nowhere , Shinigami ? sorceress ? cooling game ? the frak are even those ? i know for sure they aren't Legal Jargon .

Manga readers gotta stop complaining about every episode. Anime is motion picture, not motionless.. It will have its own cinematic representation. The way you imagined a scene while reading the manga won't be 100% accurate with the way anime directors will imagine! Higuruma looks good in every angle and I personally love the creativity here... Having an opinion is good but being nit picky on every episode just because it doesn't match with your perspective is annoying as ****. If y'all want as accurate as manga, go watch anime that looks like presentation slide..But of course y'all would complain again with that too

While watching, I noticed this cute little jumping spider on one of my houseplants stalking a bug. So I followed it around for a while, fascinated by how this awesome creature has been helping keep my place free of annoying things like gnats and house flies. Before I knew it, almost half an hour had passed. And I also realized that little spider's story was way more interesting than this boring AF anime.

Higuruma's introduction was nicely done. Peak ep overall.
