the title says it all... i have talked to many people on this site n befriended many people... also did sm controversial posts which im not so proud of xD but in the end DO YALL KNOW ME? if yes then can u tell 1 incident from which u remember me?

I’m convinced most people today don’t actually enjoy anime for the storytelling anymore. They enjoy seeing themselves reflected in it. Every conversation now is “this character is so me,” “this scene saved my life,” or “this show represents my trauma.” Like bro, not every piece of fiction has to be your therapist. It’s wild — older shows were messy, politically incorrect, even morally confusing, but they trusted you to deal with that complexity. Now everything gets dissected on Twitter until it’s either “problematic” or “perfect representation.” Fans don’t want art anymore — they want emotional permission slips. And what’s worse? The same people who preach “media literacy” are the first ones to cancel a character for not having perfect morals. You can’t keep saying “fiction ≠ reality” and then riot when a villain acts like… a villain. Anime used to challenge people. Now it just panders — either to trauma-bait TikTok edits or to neckbeard escapism. And both sides act like they’re the intellectuals. So yeah — maybe the problem isn’t that anime’s getting worse. Maybe we are.

I honestly don’t get why people keep calling Attack on Titan a “masterpiece of storytelling.” It’s not. It’s edgy nationalism fanfiction with a grim aesthetic and just enough philosophical buzzwords to make you think it’s profound. People say “it’s about the cycle of hatred” or “it’s morally gray,” but the truth is that it simplifies complex real-world issues into cartoonish trauma p o r n and revenge logic. Eren’s entire “freedom” arc is just incoherent rage repackaged as destiny. And don’t even get me started on the ending — it’s not tragic or poetic, it’s just lazy moral relativism. The show builds up this huge ideological tension and then refuses to actually say anything meaningful. “Everyone’s a victim.” Yeah, cool, that’s not insight, that’s a cop-out. The fandom treats AoT like it’s the next 1984 or The Brothers Karamazov, when it’s really a well-animated revenge fantasy that dips into fascist imagery without having the guts to challenge it. It’s shock value pretending to be depth. If you actually want a series that handles trauma, ideology, and generational violence with maturity, go watch Made in Abyss or Vinland Saga. Attack on Titan is just “edgy Naruto for adults.”

i rly dont understand the "character development" all these fanboys been yapping about. that rudeus went from a shut in pdf (who btw jor ked it to cp of his niece during his parent's funeral) to just being a pdf? but hey at least rudeus is no longer a shut in right? he still remains a pdf by the end of the show (which is an issue that needs to be developed more than anything) but at least hes "taken risks" and built a life and family for himself which he couldnt previously. like at least make it obvious his "development" is one bit sincere - rudeus sees sylphy gets bullied, a traumatising scene he is very much affected by, then comes in like a knight shining armour and solves everything with busted magic powers. "he actually needs to work hard now tho" my as s. his "character development" is totally not just an excuse to put out such disgusting content for the author to self insert his desires. i actually cant believe theres ppl out there, not few but a vast majority that revere ts as the best isekai...like is the wish fulfilment power fantasy so euphoric it makes u sympathise with a pdf? an anime not nearly talked about enough that deals with the same shut in theme as mushoku but infinitely better is welcome to the nhk. i beg u especially if u liked mushoku go watch that

3. Itsuomi Nagi (Anime: A sign of affection). Everything he does is to seduce her from the very start, who tf pats a girl's head they just met? Gets all close on the second encounter , sends romantic messages like "I wAnT tO bE iN uR woRld". He also lied to her childhood friend that the fmc said it was okay to startle her from behind just to kill the competition. 2. Saku Chitose (Anime: Chitose in the Ramune Bottle) He is infact a fucboi, always saying things like "LeMmE see ur pAntiess hehe" "U asKiNg me on a dAtE hehe?" "I'll maKe ur BooBBs touch my bAcK hehe". He knows the other girls like him (One literally indirectly confessed in front of that neet) but he still continues to lead them all by flirting with them. The author is so shameless they make it feel like u are a loser if u hate the guy. This is a stupid fantasy anime that markets itself as "realistic normie life". Like ppl in the comments really think that normies have 5-6 girls falling for them seriously in high school. 1. Amakusa Ryou (Anime: Its too sick to call this love) This one is an actual fucboi, a guy who sleeps with his co-workers and doesn't even remember their name. The fmc is a high schooler while this mf is a 30 year old. He falls in love with her at first sight and continues to stalk and harasss her, she doesn't go to the police because he is the brother of her best friend. The woman he slept with in the start of the 1st ep confronts him when he is with a high schooler and he insults her by throwing water on her face (btw we were supposed to laugh at this scene) Peace ✌️ (Tell me urs in the comments)
