well this is gonna be a long one you can read it if you want, imma just write it. it might feel very exaggerated and even somewhat cringe but its what i feel lol.

sighhhh, so i just finished rewatching clannad again and it made me realize why i fell in love with this masterpiece and why it was one of my all time favs. words are not enough to describe the array of emotions and desolate beauty you feel while watching this. the visuals, the music, the characters, the dialogues, everything is a work of art. it is a once in a lifetime experience that you wont experience ever again.

It makes you laugh, bond with the characters, relate with them, shows them grow up and show them experience life. when all romcoms end with the couple getting together, clannad goes beyond that and show the harsh reality of life and characters going through it. it makes you happy and then break you, completely, without any mercy. it makes you go through total grief and devastating reality of life. i would still say if you dont cry during clannad you dont feel emotions correctly. the show shows the value of family, life and loved ones. it shows how devastating life can be and the exact value of family. you dont change the episodes, the episodes change you. Its like a city covered in snow, melancholy, desolate and filled with a dreary silence, yet, its so beautiful.

the amazing animation of kyoani, encapsulating the beautiful sadness of the show. the perfect music of maeda jun, who also wrote the story. imma defend my claim with all i got, clannad has the best music in all of anime. The OSTs...... the fckinnn OSTs, omg tears come down everytime i hear town, flow of time, people, snowfield or roaring tides. and that dango songg....... man i hated it and now i find myself mumbling it.

its easy to say clannad is one my fav animes if not the fav anime of all time. i still wont put it over AOT but aot can never be as close to me as clannad. i have a clannad painting and the cover poster of both the seasons on my wall....... imma say it afterstory (s2) is the single best anime season ever created. s1 was not as good and it had problems but for me it was still very good.

along with IWTEYP no other piece of media has affected me so much as a person. i very well might name future kid ushio lmaooo, i like that name so much lol
