CHAPTER 2 : THE FIRST AND THE LAST DATE

The next day, ɪ'ᴍ ᴅ. ʙᴇʏᴏɴᴅᴇʀ was walking around the park near his apartment when he saw the same girl from the night before.

He approached her and said, “I’m really embarrassed about what happened yesterday. Please try to forget it—and I’m truly sorry.”

The girl smiled and replied, “Don’t worry, it’s okay. It was just a coincidence. No need to feel embarrassed.”
Her voice felt like it came straight from heaven.

I asked her name, and she replied, “My name is Mellisa.” I told her mine as well, and we began talking.

Over time, we became friends. We started meeting regularly, and this continued for days. At some point, we both began to feel something deeper growing between us.
One day, we met at my place. Mellisa looked at me and said, “I’ve had this feeling for you ever since we met… I just never had the courage to say it. But—I love you.”

“I love you too,” he replied.
They hugged.

And then—suddenly—he threw a hard punch at her face, knocking her unconscious.
